The Oxfordshire Cotswolds is made up of many towns and villages. From enchanting villages like Minster Lovell to small market towns such as Witney, there is sure to many places that will be of interest to you.

Oxfordshire Towns

Burford - Cotswold town in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. Burford was once a busy wollen town and is now a popular centre for visitors to the Cotswolds

Chipping Norton - Chipping Norton is the highest town in Oxfordshire and sometimes known as "The Gateway To The Cotswolds"

Witney - Famous for its blankets, Witney is the largest town in West Oxfordshire

Woodstock - Home to Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill

 

Oxfordshire Villages

Minster Lovell - A charming village of thatched buildings and home to Minster Lovell Hall. Just a short drive from Witney.

North Leigh - The North Leigh Roman Villa can be found in the area

Shilton - An attractive Oxfordshire Cotswold village not far from Burford. The main street crosses the Shillbrook by way of an ancient stone bridge. The village green surrounds the pond. The Rose and Crown stands at one end, and in days gone by the blacksmith's forge stood at the other.
